Under the patronage of His Excellency, Prof. Labib Khadra, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the German Jordanian University (GJU) celebrated the graduation of its sixth group of graduates at the Palace of Culture - Al-Hussain Youth City on Saturday, 15 August 2015.
H.E Prof. Khadra expressed his pride of contributing to establish GJU, emphasizing at the same time the efforts of its academic and administrative staff who worked hard and that the university has been able during a short time to achieve a significant success story among its peers of Jordanian universities.
He also seized the opportunity to thank the Federal Republic of Germany represented by the Ambassador Mr. Ralph Tarraf who was always a strong supporter to GJU.
Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, President of GJU said that representing a bright model of a university, which is able to be a distinguished institution among other national and international institutions and partnerships, and at the level of the region over the years is considered to be the most significant achievement of GJU as well as other remarkable achievements of the university.
The President also affirmed that GJU is recently providing many Bachelor and Master Programs, most of them are engineering and technical programs and other are in a partnership with German and European universities, training about 4000 student between Germany and Jordan.
For his part, Dr. Yousef Al Abdalat, Dean of Students Affairs called on the graduates to exploit their skills and experience, to be decision makers, to have their own vision, and to build a bright future of Jordan.
Some of graduates gave speeches in the Arabic, English and German languages. They all thanked their families, teachers, and their beloved GJU as well for the excellent education, experiences and friendship they earned.
Mr. Ahmad Al Hanandeh, CEO of Zain Jordan, congratulated GJU graduates and addressed some leading stories from the reality and experience of the industrial sector, encouraging students to work and achieve success in their lives.
At the end of the Ceremony that was attended by the His Excellency Eng. Othman Bedeir, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the members of Board of Trustees, H.E Prof. Alkhadra and Prof. Abu Obeid distributed certificates to the graduates in recognition of their outstanding academic performances.
