Amman- 10 December, 2014

Among 11 students who were chosen to join the USAID JCP’s pilot internship program that was held during August and October 2014, were also four graduates from GJU. Muath Alzubi (Energy Engineering), Nourelhuda Abdeldayem (Management Sciences), Reem Abed (Architecture), and Mohammed Arabiyat (Biomedical Engineering), participated in the program. The former GJU students were very satisfied with the support they received from JCP and their internship companies.

The program lasted three months for graduates and two months for undergraduates and enabled participants to gain relevant knowledge and skills to enter a particular career field.

It is worthy to mention that under the MoU that was signed between the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) and the USAID Jordan Competitiveness Program (JCP), a series of new programs and training courses will be provided to university students through KAFD’s 25 career guidance offices at universities.

These innovative training programs will boost the student’s skills and prepare them to penetrate the labor market.
