Amman- 2 October 2019

Two GJU students who have just finished their Dual Studies practical phase at Aqaba Logistics Village were taking part in the ‘Clean up the World Campaign’. The event was organized by the Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) in coordination with the Royal Marine Conversation Society of Jordan (JREDS). On September 19, 2019, the students together with other colleagues from the company were heading to the beach, collecting waste.

“As one of the continuous supporters and sponsors of the Clean the World Campaign, Aqaba Logistics Village staff participated in the annual event held at Aqaba south beach as part of ALV CSR activities.

German Jordanian University students currently completing their practical phase at ALV as part of the Dual Study program participated actively in the campaign” stated Mr. Hakam Abul Feilat, General Manager of Aqaba Logistics Village

“I was glad to join this environmental action to protect the plant. We were heading to the Aqaba Container Terminal at the seaside and collecting plastic stuff. Cleaning your surroundings shows the love for the environment we are living in’, says Rahmeh Helalat one of the students and her colleague Marwan Daboubi added: “It was also fun and I was very happy to be there today.”

Marwan and Rahmeh are first year students in the Logistics Sciences Department and are taking part in the first Dual Studies Program conducted in Jordan.
