The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the Library Department of Jordan, organized a scientific trip for students' clubs to visit the Logos Hope floating library in Aqaba city.
Logos Hope, the largest floating book fair, offers over 5,000 titles, providing many visitors with their first-ever opportunity to purchase quality educational literature. Four hundred volunteers from 65 nationalities live on board. The 32-meter-long ship, managed by a non-profit organization based in Germany, aspires to spread knowledge and hope in every port it visits.
The program of the students' visit included selling books at nominal prices and distributing souvenirs such as bags, cups, pens, medals, and bracelets. In addition, GJU students toured the ship to get acquainted with its working mechanism and facilities and participated in several activities, such as reading books and engaging in interactive games.
