On 17th May 2017, German Jordanian University presented by Department of Design and Visual Communication- School of Architecture and the Built Environment, participated in the Arab Student StarPack Competition 2017, During the course Branding and Advertising instructed by Arch. Rawan Majzoub Hamdan and the course Packaging Design instructed by Ms. Nada Jaffal. 

The Competition was held at the chamber of commerce Industry of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, which was organized by United Nations Industrial Organization “UNIDO” and LibanPack.

 “The Arab StarPack competition provides students in the region with a priceless opportunity to unleash their creativity and Innovation, and make a positive impact on Industries, the competition is considered an important platform for young generation and Industrialists, and will contribute to foster packaging design in the Arab World.

Forty-one design prizes were handed to students from 13 participating Arab countries, six of those 41 winning designs were from Jordan, 4 of them went to German-Jordanian University students.

GJU Winners students are Amal Jaber who won the first prize under the category Visual Packaging design, Nora Sacca won the second and third prize under the category Visual Packaging design, in addition to the second prize under the category structural packaging design.
