On April 20, 2019, students Ahmed Abdallah and Mohamed Salameh from the Electrical and Communication Engineering Department- School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT), at the German Jordanian University (GJU), have been awarded the third prize in the Jordan Engineers Association Graduation and industrial projects competition- the electrical engineering track for their graduation project entitled: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Aided Wireless Mesh Network.

Moreover, on April 25, 2019, students Alaa Al Zghoul, Ashraf Shatat, Hazem Qadiri, Zaid Sakejha and Aws Frej from the Electrical and Communication Engineering Department, won the fourth prize in the 10th Information Technology Students Activity Fair (ITSAF) organized by PETRA university for their project entitled (Static and Mobile Sensor network utilizing an Unmanned Ground Vehicle for Remote Sensing).

Both projects were supervised by Dr. Ala’ Khalifeh from the Electrical and communication Engineering Department and are funded by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Science Peace and Security (SPS) program  (project  ID: SPS G4936),  King Abdullah Fund for Development (KAFD)  and are  implemented in collaboration with the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB).
