On Sunday September 2, 2018, the Consultation and Training Center (CTC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), organized a welcoming meeting for the first batch of the Arabic Language and Culture (ALC) Summer School, consisted of 13 students who granted scholarships from German Academic Scholarship Foundation-Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.

President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad and Vice-president Prof. Dorit Schumann welcomed the students to GJU, and praised them for choosing to join the ALC summer school for its tremendous value they will gain at the end of the course educationally and culturally.

CTC Director, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah introduced the CTC services and activities, not only to GJU’s family but also to the community, assuring the students that in the center they provide a high standard level of education with a very professional and cooperative team.

Head of Training Section at the CTC, Dr. Thelal Oweis, said that the program duration is three weeks, where students will learn Jordanian Dialect (Amiya), as well as Standard Arabic (Fusha), adding that there will be also field’s trips every week and activities to support the themes taught in classes.
