The first contest in cyber security "Jordan Top Hacker" was held at King Hussein Business Park, Amman, on Saturday 04/30/2016. The GJU Student Shafiq Sufian won the Cup first in the competition.

The closing ceremony was under the patronage of Minister of Communications and Information Technology and was attended by Minister of ICT delegate HE Dr. Bahaa al-Khasawneh the Manager of National Information Technology Center and His Excellency Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid President of the German-Jordanian University and Mr. Ahmad Al Hanandeh CEO of Zain Telecom official sponsor of the contest.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Baha Al-Khasawneh has explained the role of the National Information Technology Center in the implementation of the system to protect the national information network and the focus of the center and the Ministry of Communications in this important part of the e-government projects.

For his part Mr. Ahmed Hinandh welcomed distinguished guests and thanked all the parties on their efforts in carrying out the competition and expressed his pride of Zain supporting such pioneer contest. In addition, he expressed the fact that zain is always ready to support such events.

Dr. Ashraf Ahmad, chairman and creator of the competition talked about the importance of a scientific competition to support obtaining the necessary expertise in the field of digital information protection and knowledge of scientific truth about the ethical hacking principles. Dr. Ahmad talked about the nature of the competition and challenges and the path of the players in the competition. He added some elaborations on the nature of competition among the participants.

Hamza Abdi, head of the referees' body and Dr. Ashraf Ahmad announced the results of the Jordan Top Hacker winners, where the GJU student Shafiq Sufian won the first Cup.
