Amman- 25 April 2022

The German Language Center (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) again conducted In-Class Peer Training, a form of training that has been established at the Center over the past three semesters.

Colleagues from German partner institutions who stay at the GLC for 2 to 3 weeks as Flying Faculty-Incomings are assigned 3 to 4 teachers from the GLC faculty with whom they both observe and take over classes themselves during this time when the Flying Faculty guest takes over teaching, the faculty member in charge of the course observes.

These collegial observations, which also include evaluation discussions, serve to reflect on the observed and own teaching methods and subsequently enter into a collegial exchange with a high learning effect.

During the last Flying Faculty stay of Petra Velten from the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences from March 5 to 25, workshops were held in addition to the In-class Peer Training on the topic: Learning with all senses, how can teaching content be anchored quickly and with fun, thereby keeping motivation at a high level.
