HRH Prince El Hassan Bin Talal visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) on Monday 5-7-2022 where he met with GJU President Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli and a group of students and graduates in a dialogue session where topics about educations, employment and entrepreneurship and vocational education.

Furthermore, in the session HRH listened to the experiences and accomplishments of students during their academic and practical journey in Jordan and Germany.  Meanwhile, Prof. Al-Halhouli expressed his gratitude towards HRH’s visit to the university and his praise regarding the quality of the university’s outcomes together with the quality of its students.  Prof. Al-Halhouli added that he hopes the university remains a national institute with qualified graduates who are able to work in all fields while serving their country.

Moreover, Prof. Al-Halhouli gave a brief about the university and its vision for the upcoming years where he states that the university aspires to become a leading international applied university in education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship as a role model for continuity and reinforcement of bridges between Joran and Germany. In addition, at the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), HRH listened to the Dean of DI-TECH Dr. Nidal Al Shawareh about the establishment of the deanship and its role in bolstering the entrepreneurship and innovation culture among the university’s departments, local community, and fostering student projects by transforming them into startup companies. Also, Dr. Al Shawareh gave a summary about the Dual Studies Program.

In addition, the head of the committee for raising vocation training skills at the university, Dr. Ziad Abu El-Rub gave a brief about the university’s program regarding the development of vocational training skills with German partners and presented success stories of several graduates who benefited d from the deanships in terms of their experiences while pointing out the importance of the relationship between the university and industrial sector in Jordan and Germany.

Alongside his visit, HRH visited the Nano Lab at the university, and EDU-Syria project where the director of the project Dr. Diaa Abu Tair gave a brief about the project and its role in providing educational opportunities in cooperation with several local and international partners to Syrian refugees and Jordanian youth in less privileged regions and listened to their experiences in the project.
