The Intellect & Debating Society organized the annual Iftar ceremony under the patronage o the president of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Alaa Al-Din Al-Halhouli, at the its campus in Jabal Amman in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA).
The ceremonyincluded a dialogue session during which Prof. Al-Halhouli discussed the opportunities and challenges that face the Jordanian youth and our duty towards building awareness and enhancing youth capabilities.
The ceremony included a comprehensive briefing by the president, where he talked about the establishment of the university and its vision to raise the level of education in Jordan and build and strengthen ties and partnerships between Germany and Jordan and to stand out from other universities in Jordan as it adopts the German model in applied sciences by integrating education with real-world applications and promoting knowledge transfer.
The session included interventions by the Dean of Student Affairs at the University, Dr. Thelal Oweis, and the Dean of Student Affairs at Al Hussein Technical University, Dr. Maryam Al-Baltawi, on the experience of Jordanian universities in debates and their role in educating and spreading awareness to students.
