The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at GJU organized a discussion session moderated by Finnegan LLP- International intellectual property law firm.  

The open discussion that was headed by the speakers; Laith abu-Taleb, Louis Troilo and Antony D. Del Monaco, covered several topics on Intellectual property rights.    

They spoke about how to identify valuable patents and trademarks during product development, what steps an inventor should follow when seeking strong IP protection, how to monetize or license your IP, and how to increase the value of your university by leveraging your IP.  

Furthermore, they explained about utility patents that protect the way an invention is used and works, design patents that might be granted to anyone who invents a new, original, and ornamental design for an article of manufacture;  as well as  the IP Code, International Protection Marking, and how to layer your product with the ( IP protection).
