Amman- 24 September 2019

On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, under the patronage of the President of the German Jordanian University (GJU) Prof. Manar Fayyad, the University Library held a storytelling activity. The event hosted forty of the Staffs' children, in addition to children from the local community.

Suzanne Ghawi Nassar- a Jordanian Children's Story Writer participated in the event and shared two stories from her production, which focuses on national and human concepts and values. During the storytelling, the children interacted with the story by playing roles and became a part of the story.

The Library team was very proud to achieve the goal of the event and engaging the children in real-life activities away from the virtual world.

The event included activities, games, film screenings that addressed the concept of a library and reading closer to the minds of children as a favorite place and activity.

Prof. Manar Fayyad appreciated all the parties who were involved in the event; the Library Team, the Deanship of Student Affairs, GJU's Nursery and students' clubs (Theater and Drama Club, Photography Club, Volunteers Club).

Fayyad also stressed the importance of holding such activities that emphasize the University's values in spreading positive and human aspects.

On another hand, Dr. Aziz Madi the Director of the Library announced that the Library is working within a plan that aims to spread knowledge, enlightenment, and self-development that targets the students, the staff and their families beside the local community.
