The Biomedical Engineering Club of the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) and the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) at the Jordanian German University (GJU) recently created an introductory day specializing in Biomedical Engineering for the university students and the local community.

The club hosted Biomedical Engineering companies in addition to student initiatives for cancer patients and their mitigation. Besides, a series of discussion and introductory sessions specializing in Biomedical Engineering and its applications in treating various diseases like Alzheimer's and respiratory problems have been performed. Arterial blood pressure and oxygen level in the blood were examined for attendees.

It is noteworthy that the Biomedical Engineering Club came on the initiative of the first-year student and president of the club Vivian Makki.

The club’s administrative team includes students: Faris Al-Kazemi, Raghad Salih, Lin Shaheen, Asim Nasr, Shamil Adeeb, and Tasnim Al-Mahadin, in addition to the coordinator from the DSA Raed Qaddah and the General Club Supervisor, Dr. Walid Al-Zyoud the head of the Biomedical Engineering Department.
