On Tuesday 14th of July 2018, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department (QAAD) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), organized an awareness workshop entitled "Day in Excellence" held by The King Abdullah II Center for Excellence (KACE), within Jordan Excellence Acceleration Program (JEAP), funded by USAID, in cooperation with Jordan Society for Quality.

The workshop was attended by the President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad, Vice President Dr. Atef Kharabsheh, schools’ deans and vice deans, directors, heads and representatives of administrative departments and units.   

Fayyad expressed the importance of such programs to assist universities achieving the best academic and administrative services.

She also mentioned that the university held intensive courses for GJU’s academic and administrative staff, through QAAD, to provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge of quality policy in order to achieve the highest levels of excellence and productivity.

Executive Director of KACE, Dr. Ibrahim Al Rawabdeh introduced the objectives of the workshop,  the role of KACE and King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency.

He clarified the model and criteria of excellence, Award cycle, evaluation process, and leadership standard in the award model.

King Abdullah II Center for Excellence is the national reference for quality and excellence among public, private, business associations, educational service providers and non-governmental institutions.

It promotes continuing excellence for increasing Jordan's international competitiveness to help secure a sustainable, prosperous future for Jordan.
