On Tuesday 18th of April, 2017, the School of Basic Sciences and Humanities at German Jordanian University GJU inaugurated an English Language Lab in building H, under the patronage of the GJU President Professor Natheer Abu Obeid , and in the attendance of the GJU Vice President Professor Manar Fayyad , Dean of SBSH Dr. Aqeel Al-Qazwini , as well as a number of SBSH members.
Dr. Aqeel Al-Qazwini said that the lab consents of two sections: Lab H 501 and H 515. H 501 can take 30 students in addition to their teacher, and H 515 has the capacity for 50 students and an office for their Computer Engineer, and they are also equipped with the best and latest computer models, screens and furniture for Online Lectures, Online Testing, and Computer Based testing.
These labs will basically serve the English Department, Arabic Department, and other Departments from our School for term tests and mainly Placement Tests for new students. All university schools and departments are welcome to give their online exams in these labs.
Dr. Haytham Thawabih, Vice Dean of SBSH emphasized that this lab was established to serve and develop the educational process and utilize the available spaces and halls in the university to serve the students more effectively.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Abu Obeid distributed certificates of appreciation to all of those who contributed to the establishment of this lab.
