The Green Entrepreneurship Training Program was launched in partnership between the German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Business Development Center at the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH).

The program aims to train a group of students and university graduates with entrepreneurial ideas to enable them to build a green business model for their projects and enhance their abilities to develop their ideas into environmentally friendly projects.

Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli, praised the importance of the partnership between the university and the Business Development Center and the focus on sustainability in the development of innovative projects. The president indicated that these programs come within the framework of the university's development to be a pioneering university that invests in the energies and creativity of young people and provides solutions to support the Jordanian economy.

For his part, General Director of Business Development, Mr. Ghaleb Hjazy, said that such programs enhance communication between the academic sector and civil society institutions that work in entrepreneurship. Mr. Hijazi also emphasized the possibility of incubating a number of pioneering ideas from the training outputs to enhance the chances of success of green entrepreneurial projects in Jordan.

For his part, the Dean of DI-TECH, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, said that the training program for students and graduates comes in order to build the capacities of young people through an interactive electronic platform that brings together entrepreneurs, potential investors and trainers, and creates a supportive environment for green projects.

It is noteworthy that this program comes in implementation of the partnership between the German Jordanian University and the Business Development Center, funded by the European Union.
