On Tuesday 12th of December 2017, the Consultation and Training Center (CTC), organized a dialogue gathering with Dr. Sabri Irbeihat titled “Influential Figures” within the center’s activities for the Arabic language and culture program at German Jordanian University (GJU).

The gathering that was managed by journalist Rana Hadad from Addustour newspaper and attended by Vice-President Dr. Atef Kharabsheh, faculty members, program students from Germany and GJU students, aims to communicate with German students in Arabic language to learn more about the culture and pass the wisdom and experience of Dr. Irbeihat, who’s considered to be an influential figure in Jordan.

Dr. Irbeihat, a former Minister of Political Development and former Minister of Culture, spoke about a number of societal issues related to youth and the importance of adapting all available resources and directing them to goals that serve youth in order to achieve outstanding achievements.

He pointed out that the selection of leaders who are responsible for youth issues and related topics should have an understanding of what the future will look like in a smart way that is in line with the needs of society and youth to serve these goals.

He noted that the art of influencing the people of the finest human skills that must be trained to develop our personality and improve the personality of others and by giving others for what it takes them.

The coordinator of the program, Dr. Thelal Owais explained that the program is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical; the earlier comprises advanced/intensive Arabic language lectures, while the latter involves weekly field trips and workshops where students can apply what they learn all through each week.

She added that the program that last for a whole semester is supported by German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) and for this year nineteen German students from 11 different German universities are enrolled in the program.

At the end of the gathering a discussion was open to the audience.
