The Deanship of Students Affairs organized in cooperation with the Supreme Council for People with Special Needs a lecture by the World Champion in Weight Lifting champion for people with special needs, and Master degree holder in Accounting, Mr. Mo’taz Junaidi.   

 

Mr. Mo’taz Al Junaidi is one of the founders of Jordan Youth Commission “Kulluna Al Urdon”, founder of the National Basketball Team in Jordan, and founder of the Initiative “challenge the disabled to climb the mountain.”

 

He  spoke of how he worked to fulfill his childhood dream and how he achieved his goal to become the World Champion in Weight Lifting.

 

He further urged the students to be more determined in order to reach their goals, adding that people with special needs could be anything they want to be and become idols in the world.

 

It is worth to mention that Mr. Junaidi has recorded the highest number in weight lifting (223 K.G.s/a quarter ton) among people with special needs in Jordan. He also took the first place in World Weightlifting Championship that took place in Dubai, and he became the first disabled Arab to reach a top of a mountain.

 

World Weight Lifting Champion among people with special needs, Mr. Mo’taz Al Junaidi concluded his lecture with a saying which he lives by, namely:

"I do not need arms to hold you, neither legs to walk to you, nor eyes to see you, but I need feelings and emotions to sense you."
