On 16th of February, 2015, the German Jordanian University (GJU) signed a memorandum of understanding with the American University of Madaba (AUM) in order to enhance cooperation between the two sides in several scientific aspects.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, on behalf of the GJU, and Prof. George Hazboun, President of University on behalf of AUM.
Prof. Abu Obeid warmly welcomed AUM‘s guests and emphasized that this MoU represents GJU’s friendship with our neighbor AUM. He also assured that GJU will provide its strongest support to AUM.
Both universities will support each other in the fields of scientific research, sharing laboratories, having training courses for both academic and administrative staff as well as students. They will also collaborate in holding conferences and seminars under the supervision of both universities.
Prof.Hazboun expressed AUM’s pride of this collaboration, adding that both universities are sharing educational and international experiences. He pointed out that AUM is currently making significant efforts and achieving successes in several areas and will continue by signing this MoU with GJU.
The signing was attended by the GJU Vice President, the Vice President for International Affairs, Assistant to the President for Communications and Public Relations, Deans of Schools, as well as representatives from AUM.
