On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, on behalf of the German Jordanian University (GJU) the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad and on behalf the Goethe-Institut (GI) the Director of GI Laura Hartz, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for cooperation and coordination between the two parties to organize the activities inside the Dialogpunkt Deutsch (DPD).

The DPD provides an open interactive and creative space for education and intercultural exchange and acts as a complementary hub to the activities of the Goethe-Institut.

The DPD will be located at the German Lounge (GL) in the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) in Amman as a platform for German language and cultural activates.

Both parties agreed that the DPD would be utilized by GJU students, everyone else interested in Germany, its language and culture as well as in intercultural exchange in general. In addition to German visitors, volunteers, and professionals.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Vice Presidents Prof. Atef Kharabsheh and Prof. Dorit Schumann, Dean of SABE Prof. Ziad Haddad, Vice Dean Dr. Maram Al Taweel and some Departments' Directors.
