The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources signed a memorandum of understanding that frames cooperation between the two parties in the field of energy policies, renewable energy, rationalization of energy consumption, training and development of competencies and the exchange of scientific and research knowledge.

The MoU stated for the exchange of scientific and training experiences, information, scientific research, and technical documents between the two parties, as well as organizing workshops, scientific conferences, and joint seminars in knowledge transfer and expertise development.

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, said that the MoU consolidates cooperation to develop joint scientific activities, exchange scientific visits, implement training programs, and enhance competencies and capabilities.

For his part, the president of GJU, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, said that the collaboration embodies the role of the university in serving the community and the institutions of the entire country.

Dr. Al-Halhouli stated that the agreement would allow the exchange of practical and academic experiences by conducting specialized lectures in energy specialization, and benefiting from German experiences, especially since the university has partnerships with about 120 German universities and 2000 German factories and companies.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eng. Amani Al-Azzam, and some officials in the ministry and GJU members attended the signing ceremony.
