The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Family Protection Department at the Public Security Directorate signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Vice President of GJU, Prof. Atef Kharabsheh, Assistant Director of Public Security, Brigadier Walid Batah and staff from both sides.

The MoU aims at developing cooperation with partners such as public security represented by the Department of Family Protection to enhancing the profession of social work.

Kharabsheh said that this agreement comes as a complement to the GJU's role towards social responsibility in promoting social work.

He stated the importance of the partnership with the department particularly in directing the students' efforts to serve the community and raise their awareness.

Brigadier Walid Batah pointed out that such a partnership contributes to the achievement of the national security system in general, which considers the social and family security of the most important pillars.

Both parties agreed to cooperate in the preparation of relevant studies and research that support the development of social work, programs, strategies and policies in social work, especially child protection. Also, develop the students' skills in the field and connect Family protection with local and international specialists.
