On Monday 19th of March 2018, the German-Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad and The Specialty Hospital represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors / Director-General Dr. Fawzi Al-Hamouri signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), in the field of exchange of experiences, training of students, scientific research, training courses and social responsibility activities.
The MoU aims at encouraging cooperation between the health sector and the education sector in order to ensure quality in the outputs of education and training.
Fayyad pointed out the need to conclude such agreements to create the appropriate educational environment through close cooperation and exchange of experiences to ensure the quality of outputs.
For his part, Al Hamouri confirmed that the hospital is fully prepared to provide the necessary training opportunities for the students, mentioning that the hospital offers teaching services since 2006.
Based on both institution’s objectives in community service and development they will be organizing free medical days for local community, first aid courses and pulmonary rehabilitation as well as educational activities as required.
The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President Dr. Atef Kharabsheh, Dean of the School of Basic Sciences and Humanities (SBSH) Dr Akeel Al-Kazwini, Dean of the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) Dr. Adnan Al-Lahham, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department Mr. Munir Younis and the Medical Director Dr. Zaki Qulaghasi, Director of Internal Audit Mr. Wissam Ibrahim, Marketing & Business Development Eng. Sherine Abu Menna.
