On Thursday 5th of March 2018, the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by President Prof. Manar Fayyad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universal Hospital Services (UHS), represented by UHS Business Development Director Ramez Kopti.

The signing of the MoU, in which also representatives of GJU’s Industrial Links Committee participated, stresses  the university’s strategy to promote private sector partnerships at various levels and maintain sustainable industry linkages. It provides students with first-hand experience by involving its industry partners in study plans, research, projects and field-trips.

GJU offers students a full-time work experience by its requirements of conducting local and international industry trainings and internships.

Both parties agreed that cooperation will mainly apply for the study programs of Biomedical Engineering and the department of Architecture and Interior Architecture. It is planned to develop special interdisciplinary courses in the field of hospital design.

According to the MoU cooperation will be in the fields of Training and Internships, Lectures and Research, Joint Workshops and Meetings, Field-Trips and Special Events.

Moreover, UHS is invited to participate in and support special trainings and entrepreneurial activities that are conducted at GJU via the Innovation Space and Training Center.
