On Monday, April 15, 2019, on behalf of the Goethe-Institut, the German Jordanian University (GJU) opened the the outdoor exhibition “Wandering – Home”, inside the Dialogpunkt Deutsch (DPD) at the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) in Jabal Amman, within the framework of the Image Festival Amman.

Photographers from Jordan and Germany have participated in the exhibition as part of the Image Festival Amman 2019 and within the framework of Goethe-Institut program ThemenRaum “Encounters” which focuses on the German- Jordanian exchange. Interested parties, artists and experts from both countries could meet in exhibitions, concerts, dance and theatre performances, workshops and lectures.

The President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad accompanied with Vice Presidents Prof. Atef Kharabseh and Prof. Dorit Schumann attended the opening where prof. Manar appreciated the work and creativity presented in the exhibition, stressing the special and tight relations between Jordan and Germany.

Photographers participated in the exhibition and themes are Hussam Manasra (Glimpse of the Desert), Khalid Odeh (Momentary Presence), Mo’taz Sulaiman (in the Beginning was Desert), Pual Jurgens (Off Road), Hassan Albukaai (Memory), Fabian Ritter (Incendio), Christian Himmelspach (un)known and Maximilian Mann (Lake Urmia).
