On Tuesday 6th of August, 2015 the International Office at the GJU organized a kick of meeting for GJU students leaving to Germany for the fall term 2015.       

 

Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, GJU President emphasized that students should be ambassadors to their country  as they reflecting a bright model of the Jordanian youth, who are motivated and able to play their full role in society.

 

Prof. Manar Fayyad, Vice President of GJU, welcomed all the guests and students, and urged outgoing students to explore new opportunities and to benefit from the new environment during their stay in Germany. She also pointed out that students should respect others cultures as they already represent their country and their culture to others.

 

On his side, Mr.Mattihias Wehler from Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Amman, welcomed outgoing students, and emphasized how important the interaction of both German and Jordanian cultures, despite the difficulties that students might face, wishing them all the best during this year in Germany.

  

Dr. Dorothea Jecht, Director of the International Office at GJU, said that the IO is ready anytime to offer advice to outgoing students and answer any inquiry due to their studying in Germany.  For her part Ms. Britta Kaehler , Director of Ofice for Industrial Links ( OIL ) clarified the role of the office that’s also responsible for the student’s internship during this year in Germany. 

 

It is worth mentioning that the meeting included several presentations by returnee students, Dania Abrouss and Ayham Al. Masri , who covered a range of topics about how to communicate with the German people, application papers, internship information and sharing their personal experience and stories during their stay in Germany.
