After the Royal Decree that was issued on Tuesday, 25th of November, 2014 appointing the members of the board of the German Jordanian University, the members met with the President Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, and had an orientation day through the campus.
Prof. Abu Obeid warmly welcomed the new members, and offered his congratulations to them, emphasizing that their experience and demonstrated commitment to the university will put GJU in a strong position to sustain its excellence for this generation and those to follow.
Dr. Yasser Rajjal, Assistant to the President for Communications and Public Relations shared with the new members some highlights from what has been an exciting and productive for GJU, the various majors and programs, features and schools. In addition to the exchange German year and its importance to students and the remarkable efforts that have been always made by International Office and Office for Industrial Links of GJU as well.
It is worthy to mention the names of the new members started by Eng. Othman Bdeir, H.E. Eng. Shafiq Zawaideh, H.E.Dr. Amal Farhan, Prof. Atef Kharabsheh, Prof. Abdullah Zoubi, Prof. Moawiyah Ibrahim, Dr. Geifes on behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Prof. Andreas Geigeron on behalf of the German Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Representative of German Federal Minister of Education , Mr. Klaus Olbricht, Vice-President – German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eng. Omar Abu Weshah, Mr. Zahi Al Masri, and Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, the President of GJU.
