The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-halhouli, visited the strategic partner and the incubator for the German Jordanian University project office in Germany Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.

During the visit, Al-halhouli met with the president of Magdeburg-Stendal University, Prof. Manuela Schwartz, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and increase the number of students in the various Schools of GJU during the German Year and the joint programs intended to be developed at the master's level.

 

Dr. Al-Halhouli praised the support of the University of Magdeburg to the German Jordanian University since 2005, which resulted in GJU's establishment that follows the applied approach similar to the German universities to play a key and vital role in strengthening the relations between the two countries at all levels.

 

Dr. Al-Halhouli also participated in the handover ceremony of Prof. Schwarz as the new president of the University of Magdeburg, following former president Prof. Anne Lequy. He congratulated Schwarz, expressing his best wishes and eagerness to work together to strengthen bilateral relations by increasing employment opportunities in participatory projects that benefit students and members of the teaching and administrative staff in both universities.

 

On the other hand, Dr. Al-Halhouli met with representatives of the German Academic Exchange Agency (DAAD) to discuss aspects of increasing cooperation between the two parties. Dr. Al-Halhouli also met with GJU students currently spending their first semester at the University of Magdeburg and praised their excellence and diligence as ambassadors for their university and country.
