The International Office at the German Jordanian University organized a welcoming meeting for the new incoming students who came from Germany on the second semester 2015/2016.

 

Prof. Natheer Abu. Obeid, the GJU’s President met with the new incoming students and emphasized that they will have a great experience, wishing them a successful stay in Jordan.

 

The president also thanked the new incoming students for coming to Jordan and their insistence to study at GJU despite what the international media is trying to spread about the region, and assured them that Jordan is  stable and safe country.  

 

Prof. Anton Mangstl, the Vice President for International Affairs, said that GJU have unique and different programs that suit the new incoming student’s majors as they have diversity in their disciplines. 

 

Britta Kaeller, Director of the Office for Industrial links briefed on the OIL, the services and internships.  Additionally, Mr. Fawwaz Alsaqqar, Assistant to the Dean of Students Affairs, mentioned that the deanship is preparing an orientation day designed for the new incoming students to assist them in their transition to the campus and surrounding community, as it is an opportunity to learn about GJU.

 

The meeting was attended by Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Vice President, Dr. Yasser Rajjal, Assistant to the President for Communications and Public Relations, Dr. Dorothea Jecht, Director of the International Office.         

Note worth mentioning that the semester will include lots of excursions and activities for the new incoming students to the Dead Sea, Mount Nebo, Madaba, Petra and Wadi Mujeb.
