On Sunday 10th of December 2017, The Deanship of Students Affair (DSA) at German Jordanian University (GJU), organized a protest against Trump’s decision; recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, Vice- Presidents, hundreds of students and academic and administrative staff participated in the protest to express their rejection of the decision and support AlQuds.
Participants assured that AlQuds will remain the eternal capital of the Palestinian, stressing that the decision will only keep the region in a constant conflict and compromise peace and stability.
They also raised slogans to boycott the American and Israeli goods stating that America is no longer a mediator in the peace making in the region.
During the protest participants appreciated King Abdullah's II bin Al-Hussein efforts in presenting Jordan’s and the Hashemite family’s stands and roles in supporting the Palestinian cause by all means.
