On Tuesday , 25th of April 2017, a Russian delegation represents several Russian Universities in addition to Russian Nuclear Energy Agency visited German Jordanian University (GJU) to discuss several ways of cooperation also to learn more about the university programs, system  and projects.

Within the framework of the delegation's visit to Jordan and several Jordanian universities, they seek out  to acquire knowledge on the system and level of nuclear and engineering education in Jordan, presentation of Russian universities capacities and discuss opportunities for inter-university collaboration.   

In September 2016 ,  Jordan and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop human resources as a general umbrella for subsequent MoUs between universities and organizations  concerned on both sides within the framework of the Jordanian nuclear program. 

Professor Manar Fayyad GJU Vice President warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed about university's programs, schools and the latest projects, pointing out also to the importance of the German year for our GJU students.

On their side, the delegation expressed interest in the university to learn more about its disciplines and system, and praised its high scientific level among other Jordanian Universities.  

The delegation had a tour to the Nano lab, Solar Cooling System Project  Unit, the Pv-Cool Project  in addition to the Bio-Gas lab.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of School of Applied Technical Sciences and Vice Dean of School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management and Head of Energy Engineering Department. 

The Russian delegation included representatives from Rosatom Corporation, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Amman and and different universities such as the National Research Nuclear University  , Tomsk Polytechnic University, National Research University –Moscow State University of Civil Engineering and Ural Federal University.
