The School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) represented by the Dean of School, Dr. Maram Al-Tawil hosted a development workshop with Prof. Christa Reicher, the Head of urban Design Department and the Director of the Institute for Urbanism at the RWTH Aachen in Germany.

The development meeting aimed at discussing the possibilities of cooperation with the RWTH Aachen in Germany through the exchange of experiences between the two countries and discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the master’s programs at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment.

Some of the ideas included to promote an optional semester at the RWTH Aachen in Germany and updating the study plans to keep pace with scientific development and the needs of the region in terms of spatial and urban planning and architectural preservation.

The workshop and followed by a public lecture at the German Lounge were attended and discussed by the GJU Vice President for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Ralf Rosskopf, the Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ziyad Masoud the Director of the International Office, Mrs. Stefanie Kirsch, and, and also through the engagement and constructive discussions of the SABE Staff Members from both Master’s Programs for Spatial Planning and Architectural Conservation along with the Spatial Planning Students who attended the public lecture afterwards.
