Amman- 11 November 2018

The graduation project of the student Durra Al Omar from the Department of Design and Visual Communication / School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), at the German Jordanian University (GJU), has been selected as one of the highlights of the Global Grad Show. The show exhibits highly selected graduation projects from of “the most innovative technology and design programs in the world”.

Durra who is passionate about design is participating in "Imperial Race” project that is inspired by the destruction of Iraq's historical artifacts. "Imperial Race” is a board game that teaches people indirectly about Iraq’s ancient civilizations. It aims to inspire a new generation to explore and cherish their cultural inheritance.

Global Grad Show is an annual exhibition of graduate projects from design schools around the world, held in November as part of Dubai Design Week. Durra and her supervisor Professor Ziyad Haddad are invited to attend the activities of the show.

This year’s 4th edition of the exhibition brings together 150 of the most innovative graduate projects from design schools in 45 countries. ‘It is the first truly international exhibition and forum dedicated to design students. Global Grad Show was created to open the field of design to participants from as many places as possible.”
