Amman- 7 October 2015

The School of Computer Engineering and Information Technology (SCEIT) together with the IT Club at GJU organized a meeting for new Computer Science (CS) and Computer Engineering (CE) students on Wednesday 7 October 2015. The meeting was attended by IT club members and many CS and CE students from the second year or above who will serve as student buddies.

The School’s Vice Dean, Dr. Ismail Hababeh, and the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Rami Alazrai, welcomed the new students. Dr. Christina Class, the school’s exchange coordinator and club advisor, spoke to the new students about their great career perspectives after graduating, addressing many examples of our GJU graduates in Jordan, Germany and worldwide.

Then the students Mohammad Al Kamel and Luai Hussein, members of the IT Club, presented the club: its achievements, previous successful courses and events, the challenges the club members faced and future plans, and invited all new students to participate.

As highlight of the meeting, the student buddy program was launched: freshmen students are connected to student buddies who will provide advice to the new students and help them having a great start at the school and GJU.

We wish all new Computer Science and Computer Engineering students a successful and great time at GJU.
