Amman- 20 October 2021

The International Office (IO) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) welcomed the second Study Group Mobility from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, which included ten German students accompanied by Prof. Julia Hansc from DHBW Mannheim. In addition to their project work on campus, the students visited three Logistics companies and explored Aqaba, Petra, and Wadi Rum.

About the visit, Prof. Hansch said, “The students have had a wonderful and inspiring time at GJU. Together with the dual students from GJU, our students have met with company representatives (DHL, Aramex & ALV) and gained many new insights. The DHBW students, also studying in a dual course of studies, will proceed to conduct a market entry strategy analysis into the Jordanian market and will thus rely on the expertise of GJU staff and students and will stay in touch with the company representatives.

She added, “We will be delighted to have as many Jordanian guests join our conference on December 8, 2021, and share their expertise with our students. I believe that we have started a wonderful project that will continue on several levels: the students will work together, one of our partner companies is already interested in acting as a partner company for GJU students as well, and we are looking forward to establishing a staff exchange with the School of Management and Logistcs Sciences (SMLS).”

The Study Mobility Group is a transnational study project within the network of GJU and its partner universities in Germany to strengthen the exchange between Jordan/GJU and Germany/partner universities both on an academic and cultural level.
