Amman- 8 March, 2017

Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a Short Seminar on Alexander von Humboldt fellowships on Sunday 05/03/2017 represented by its Ambassador Scientist in Jordan Professor Dr. Hani Hayajneh.

Dr. Hayajneh gave an introduction to the Attendees from the academic staff in GJU about the foundation where research fellowships and research awards allow the researcher to go to Germany to work on a research project with a host and collaborative partner, explaining that If any researcher would like to become a member of the Humboldt Family, what counts is own excellent performance since There are no quotas, neither for individual countries, nor for particular academic disciplines.

The foundation of Alexander von Humboldt supports people, not projects. They accept proposals from postdoctoral researcher at the beginning of their academic career, an experienced, established academic, focusing on the flexibility of getting a customized sponsorship based on the researcher’s private and career situation.

The Seminar was attended by Prof. Manar Fayad Vice President, Prof. Dorit Schumann Vice President for International Affairs, and Prof. Salem Al Agtash Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

At the end of the discussion Dr. Hayajneh responded to the faculty’s questions and queries.
