A study mobility group from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg- Mosbach visited the German Jordanian university (GJU) campus on Tuesday – Sep.7. 2021.

Throughout the past three months, students from DHBW- Mosbach under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Volker Siegismund, and GJU students under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad AbuShams, from the School of applied technical Sciences (SATS),  were working side by side to finalize the project of “Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) in Jordan and Europe: Present status, trends, and challenges from a technical and economic perspective.”

About the project, Dr. AbuShams said that this joint project is a great opportunity to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with our partner institutions in Germany. Looking at GJU students working side by side with their German partners on projects with industrial and economical perspectives in both countries reflects the importance of the German dimension in our university.

Prof. Safwan Altarazi, the Dean of SATS, said that this project aims to educate students about the future challenges of HVAC systems from a technical and economic perspective in both countries. He expressed the importance of this study mobility program for students and faculty as well as the university overall.

German students under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Siegismund traveled to Jordan for their final project presentation. During the campus visit, a welcome session was hosted by Laura Schergaut from the International Office at GJU, followed by a campus tour and a lab tour then welcomed the students with a presentation about SATS.

A great honor for the group was the warm welcome by GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli and Vice President Prof. Rosskopf. After the welcome session, it was time to present the project results where the students presented and discussed the outcomes with the poster presentation participants.
