The Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) in partnership with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and University of West England organized a one-day symposium on circular economy in food supply chain using industry 4.0 tools.

This workshop comes within the activities to spread awareness regarding Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP) in food industries and Jordan’s green economy strategy among students. The experts from RSS started with an overview of Jordan’s green economy strategy followed by a presentation about True transition towards Circularity-concepts, afterwards, the experts explained the concept of Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP) in food industries by providing examples and practical demonstration. Prof. Vikas Kumar from the University of West England held a presentation about Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy and its applications in food industries.     

At the end of the training, the presenters along with the students had an open discussion and Q&A, and certificates of participation were handed to participants.
