His Excellency Mr.  Apichart Phetcharatana Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand visited GJU yesterday and met with the President of the University Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, to discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of education and research as well as viewing the GJU profile and benefit from its successful experience in establishing a university along the lines of GJU.   

 

During the meeting, Prof. Abu Obeid welcomed the Ambassador and expressed keenness to develop and promote academic cooperation with the Thai side. He clarified the GJU’s contribution to the process of higher education and academic research, pointing out that the university combines theoretical and practical sides to enrich the students' experience.

 

The President added that GJU has launched and applied the slogan “E for E “; “Education for Employment “  and has achieved a success through reaching a high scale of employability during the last years, and will adopt slogan "E for E & E" in the reference to "Education for Entrepreneurship and Employment" for the next years. 

 

The Ambassador expressed admiration at the level of GJU and said it is considered one of the best universities in the region, affirming that the Kingdom of Thailand is sincerely thinking of going ahead with the academic exchanges with Jordan and developing bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

The meeting was attended by Prof. Manar Fayyad , the GJU Vice President ,and  Mr. Muneer Bani Younis  Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department, and Mr. Apaicheep Bunnag ,  Economic and Education Cooperation Affairs - the Royal Thai Embassy.
