On Sunday 4th of March 2018, a delegation from Trier university of Applied Sciences in Germany visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) to explore more cooperation with GJU especially in the field of students exchange and joint programs.

The president of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad expressed her happiness to meet with one of the German’s universities partners mentioning that GJU concentrates on the abroad experience of GJU students and Germans as well.

She explained that the university allocate many programs for exchange students from Germany and Europe beside regular curricular such as Arabic and Culture program, summer school and special joint programs and projects where the students interact together within a positive and productive environment.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Georg J. Schneider Responsible for the International Relations of the Computer Science Department at Trier university, explained the university’s interest in widen the intercultural and academic experience for students from both sides stressing the importance of learning about different cultures, languages and build a network of friends and youth.

During the delegation’s visit that lasted for three days an introductory presentation about studying applied sciences in Trier, its programs and main attributes was conducted to the students, a discussion with the School Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT) faculty members on: Curricula, partnership, definition of projects, and held a meeting with Director of Information Systems and Technology Center Dr. Feras Al-Hawari.

At the end of the visit, the delegation that included Prof. Dr.-Ing. Georg J. Schneider, Prof. Andreas Lux, Prof. Georg Schneider and Prof. Ute Nikolay had a tour at the SEEIT labs.
