Amman- September 2016

Two of the German Jordanian University students (School of Applied Medical Sciences); Abdelrahman Budair and Anas Bader were selected to participate at the 5th Global Business Institute – Coca-Cola Summer Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program, a collaborative effort between the US State Department, the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and Coca-Cola company.

This multi-faceted, immersive program, that was organized by the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, was designed to give a select group of students from across participating countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Near Asia the opportunity to learn about business and entrepreneurship in the context of American culture.

The selection process was highly competitive with over 6000 students from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, and Tunisia applying for the 100 program spots. Participants were interviewed and selected by the American embassies in each of the participating countries.

During this program, a feasibility study competition was held through which students had to identify a business venture and develop feasibility plan for their idea. Abdelrahman and Anas participated within a team of three people and were competing against 24 other teams from the participating countries. They secured the 1st place and were the prize winners which makes them the first Jordanian team to ever win this competition

The GJU Family congratulates Abdelrahman and Anas on their achievement and wishes them more success progress.
