The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, signed an agreement to convert the university ID into a multi-use smart card with Cairo Amman Bank, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kamal Al-Bakri.

The agreement stated the issuance and operation of multi-use university smart cards for students, faculty members, and employees of the GJU, which guarantee quality services for the cardholder. The smart card can be used as a University ID, entering the university campus through the electronic gates that are planned to be founded in the future, for paying at points of sale with many benefits such as discounts and reward points, besides the possibility of using it internationally.

Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that GJU aspires to build a strategic partnership with Cairo Amman Bank, praising their continuous support and contributions to GJU. Dr. Al-Halhouli stated that GJU is keen to sustain, evolve and expand the collaboration in line with the university strategic plan to include projects that serve GJU and society.

For his part, Mr. Al-Bakri praised the distinguished partnership between the two parties, the creative and innovative ideas proposed by its leadership, pointing to the uniqueness and distinction of the university since its beginning. He stressed the bank's aspiration for further development and planning to provide the best services and experiences to the university community.

Moreover, Prof. Malek Alsharairi, Head of the Committee and Vice President of GJU, stressed the importance of sustainability and continuity of collaborations through applying the reciprocal partnership principle. He praised the efforts of the involved teams to formulate the terms of the agreement and ensure the benefits to all.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Mou committee members from GJU side, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Thelal Owies, Ahmad Alfalayleh, the Finance Department representative, and Engineer Anass Ksasbeh- Information Systems and Technology Center, in addition to Hani Khader, Chief Banking Services and Marketing, Maha Ababneh and Khaldoun Hatamleh from Cairo Amman Bank.
