Amman, 15 June 2016

GJU Vision Training Center offered a course on the basic principles of the education of children with visual impairment on June 8 that lasted for 10 days.

The trainees were professionals from the field of rehabilitation (physiotherapists, occupational therapists and audiologists) working for the Mercy Corps, an international NGO active in government schools and refugee camps.

The aim of the course was to provide the trainees with the knowledge and skills they need to support the inclusive education of children with visual impairment.

It is worthy to mention that in the coming school year (2016-2017), the VTC and Mercy Corps will work together with the Royal Academy for the Blind to offer the students with low vision the professional and technical support they need to study in mainstream schools.
