The School of Applied Humanities and Languages (SAHL) in cooperation with the Consultation and Training Center (CTC) ​​at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a welcome meeting for the sixth batch of students of the Arabic Language and Culture (ALC) Program, with the support of the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD).

The Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Ralf Roßkopf, welcomed the students and introduced them to GJU. Roßkopf discussed the importance of cultural dialogue and positive interaction between different countries, stressing the exceptional relationship between Jordan and Germany. 

For her part, the program coordinator, Dr. Thelal Owais, introduced the new students to the program for the first semester. She explained that the central objective of the ALC program is to organize intensive programs focusing on Arabic language Dialect (Amiya), as well as Standard Arabic (Fusha), and the Arab culture. It also includes sightseeing and exploring the city and the countryside.

The students will be able to visit Aqaba and Wadi Rum, besides some of the Jordanian institutions and organizations, to enrich cultural awareness and experience.
