On Sunday, February 16, 2020, The Deanship of Student Affairs/ German Association Club (GAC) in cooperation with the International Office (IO) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a welcome meeting for the new incoming students of cultural and scientific exchange who represent a number of German universities and spend a full semester in the university according to their specializations. In the presence of the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, Vice President for International Affairs Prof. Dr. Ralf Roßkopf, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Raed Khasawneh, the Head of the German Language Center (GLC) Jacqueline Rogler, the Incoming Coordinator Rakan Aldweiri and a number of faculty members.

This meeting aims at welcoming students and introducing them to the procedures, regulations and instructions followed at the university. In addition to the programs, specializations available and the study environment in general.

Fayyad welcomed the German students and a number of them from Austria and Belgium, encouraging them to take advantage of this opportunity to know the university, to communicate with its students and develop friendship with each other.

Roßkopf pointed out that GJU was built in the same way as the German universities in Applied Sciences, which harmonizes between theoretical science and scientific application. In addition to that, he talked about the most important characteristics of the university, including the German dimension of the German year to which the university attaches great importance, from language teaching to the academic and industrial partnerships with German universities and companies.

The program includes, in addition to the study, training courses to learn the Arabic language and culture, training opportunities in the commercial sector, in addition to a program of activities and trips to familiarize the German students with Jordan's history, civilization, tourist attractions and archaeological sites.
