The International Office at GJU organized a welcoming meeting for Master’s students from Humboldt- University of Berlin on Wednesday March 2, 2016 in the presence of GJU President Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid and the Vice President for International Affairs.

The MA students from Humboldt-University of Berlin are planning to conduct a joint research project on water management that is funded by GIZ and Erasmus + in Jordan along with Mater’s students from GJU.

Prof. Abu Obeid welcomed the MA students who came from Humboldt University-one of GJU’s partners- and expressed his pride of this kind of cooperation between students from the two universities to conduct a joint research on water management in Jordan, saying that GJU believes in exchange and mobility.

He also added that GJU is grateful for GIZ and Erasmus + for supporting such a project.

For her part Dr. Suzanne Hoffman, Research and Teaching Assistant at Humboldt-University, spoke about the importance of this cooperation and the need to work practically with partners like GJU and GIZ.

Dr. Qasem Abdelal, Head of Department of Water and Environmental Engineering elaborated about the water management situation in Jordan and the joint project, and thanked the project team.
