The National Erasmus+ Office and the International Affairs Department at the German Jordanian University (GJU) held a workshop about the development and opportunities offered by Erasmus+ at the GJU main Campus in Madaba.

The workshop had the honor to have expertise from Mr. Asma Al-Smadi (National Erasmus+ Office) who introduced the 23 participants to the fundamental objectives of the Erasmus+ program. These include a support of inclusion, digitalization and sustainability. Furthermore, Mrs. Asma Al-Smadi highlighted the positive development within the past seven years.

Afterwards the divers group of participants consisting of students, academics and staff members from Jordan, Romania and Germany shared their experiences and expectations within the Erasmus+ exchange program. Highly discussed topics were the encouragement to be open-minded, ask many questions and be aware about a culture shock when coming to a new country.

Academics and staff members who were experienced gave their advice to the students and shared how life changing and lasting their experiences were. The organizers of the event appreciate the participants engagement.

It is worth to mention that the International Erasmus+ Networking Seminar on October 24th -25th 2022 and the GJU-Erasmus Week 2023.
