In collaboration with Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, the Deanship of Scientific Research has promoted and organized a workshop on Water Management and Rain Fed Agriculture in the MENA region. The purpose of the workshop is to strengthen research efforts on this very relevant topic.
Distinguished international scholars from European and North African countries took part to the workshop, together with researchers from the University of Jordan, from Jordan University of Science and Technology, from the National Center for Agricultural Research, and from the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
The workshop took place at GJU campus on the 28.02. and 01.03. On 02.03., the researchers visited the premises of the National Center for Agricultural Research (NCARE) in Al Ramtha.
The workshop is financially supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für die internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and by the Deanship of Scientific Research.
