On Wednesday 18 October 2017, Representatives of administrative units and of the German Jordanian University Project Office at the University of Applied Sciences of Magdeburg visited German Jordanian University (GJU), to meet with GJU’s staff and learn more about the university.

President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad welcomed the guests and gave an introduction about the university since establishment highlighting all achievements and progress till today.

Fayyad appreciated the support and distinguished efforts of the German Universities partners, especially UAS Magdeburg as the leading partner, in assisting GJU’s students while their study in Germany, explaining that the German year considered very important experience to the students since it reflects tremendous change on their personality and future career.

She clarified the process and preparations that the students have to go through in order to be ready for the German year, starting from language preparation to workshops, meetings and seminars.

Director of the Office for Industrial Links Britta Kähler and Director of International Office Mr. Jens Hegemann, introduced their work, activities and projects for the student’s community.

On another hand, The German delegation expressed their delight to visit GJU and meet personally with GJU’s representatives and learn more about the university campus, schools, labs and other facilities.

They also valued the exchange programs for both faculty and staff where Germans and Jordanians get the opportunity to learn about other cultures, traditions and work systems.

At the end of the meeting that was attended by GJU Vice President of International affairs Prof. Dorit Schumann, UAS Magdeburg Chancellor Dr. Antje Hoffmann and her colleagues of different administrative units, and Director of the Project Office Dr. Monica Heitz, the delegation took a tour inside the university.
